Protesters gathered at the Washington Monument and marched to the Lincoln Memorial steps at around 11:30 am. Many demonstrators held signs and banners promoting freedom of choice when it comes to the vaccines, as well as criticizing health officials and the Biden administration.
Dr. Peter McCullough of Texas spoke to the crowd about risks associated with the COVID-19 vaccines, which he say are muffled by the media and corruption in the pharmaceutical industry.
A spokesman from a group of Firefighters against the vaccine mandates, called “Operation Freedom of Choice,” attended the event to raise awareness for how the mandates have negatively affected first responders around the country.
“The mental strain on first responders is already at an all time high,… to turn around and say now you’re not worth being a firefighter,… its a huge impact,” a spokesman from the group said.
A former nurse who says she was fired for refusing to get the vaccine said she attended the event to fight for other medical workers who have lost their jobs.
Dr. Robert Malone, who helped invent the technology used in the COVID-19 vaccine, cautioned the crowd to become educated about the risks of getting the vaccine.
“Please get informed about the possible risks, that your children may be damaged by these experiential medical products,” Malone said.
He further rebuked Big Tech and the legacy media for promoting “fear and psychological manipulation” regarding COVID-19.
The event featured a wide scope of other speakers, spanning across the political and religious spectrum. Rissa Islam, of the Nation of Islam, spoke back-to-back with Rabbi Zev Epstein, both preaching for medical choice and against the dangers of medical mandates.
