Following the passing of longtime Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, an old video clip of him addressing socialism has gone viral.

After calling Dodgers games for 67 seasons – starting in 1950 when the MLB team was based in Brooklyn and retiring in 2016 – Scully passed away on Tuesday at the age of 94.

As the Dodgers played the Milwaukee Brewers in 2016, Scully delivered a scathing critique of socialism.

“Socialism failing to work as it always does,” Scully began his chiding of the left-wing ideology. “This time in Venezuela.”

“You talk about giving everybody something free and all of a sudden there’s no food to eat,” Scully explained.
